Starting from October 1, 2022, Microsoft will strengthen authentication for access to Office365 email accounts by using combined security information registration, also known as modern authentication, this process will be mandatory.
If ALERT send emails to contact your operators using an office365 SMTP server, you will be impacted by this change.
A solution is to use the Exchange driver instead of the Email driver, here is the link to set up this driver:

If you have version 3.6 rev 2 or earlier, your Exchange driver is not compatible and an update to version 4.0 is required. |

If you have version 4.0, contact us to find out if your version is compatible
If you want to keep using the Email driver, you will have to change the SMTP server for sending messages from ALERT because for the moment no modification of this driver is planned.
It is also possible by sending a request to Microsoft before September 30, 2022 to postpone the application of modern authentication to January 1, 2023. (Call your email administrator or network team)
You can contact us via our form for more information, if you are not sure if you are using Office365 SMTP, consider attaching your ALERT configuration (.abf) to your request.
