Introduction :
ALERT 4.0 can use the Windows identification and authentification (LDAP directory service of Active Directory) to identify and authenticate the access to the Alert software. When the option is checked, the access of each user defined in ALERT 4.0 will be controlled by the Active Directory server of the domain. The password to enter will be the password defined in the Active Directory and not the numerical code defined in the field "password" of the user record.
Warning:
- It is not possible to implement LDAP authentication and ALERT simultaneously.
- ALERT 4.0 require an user account with "System" profile in order to have administrative rights to the software.
