Message Toolkit Processor option
The message processor is a generic mediator module which processes messages transmitted by an external system, through a serial communication line or TCP/IP link, or through a file or database, or from a GSM modem. It analyses the messages received from a script, extracts the factual information and triggers the necessary calls.
The scripts can also be executed from events internal to Alert in order to format data in a specific protocol to interact with third party systems.
In addition, from version 4.0 of Alert, the scripts also make possible to define a specific operation of the voice server to meet specific needs for answering incoming or outgoing calls. For this, the IVR option is necessary. (See next option)
The message processor runtime module is included in the Alert basic solution and delivered with different standard prototypes. To develop a new prototype and validate it, you need to acquire the Message processor editor option which gives access to the script editor and to the debugger.
