To establish a communication between ALERT and a MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) Broker the following prerequisite are necessary:
- Communication between ALERT and an MQTT Broker can be done locally or on a network. For network use, TCP port 1883* must be open on the Firewall(s) between ALERT and the Broker.
*For default configuration, it's however possible to change the port.
- If the MQTT Broker does not allow anonymous access, you will need a username and password.
- The ALERT MQTT connector works with MQTT's versions 3 and 5. (april 2022)
