Before configuring the link with WinCC OA, the setup and configuration of ALERT WinCC OA manager must have been done on WinCC OA host. This configuration is describe in this article WinCC OA: Communication with Alert.
Configuration:
Adding WinCC OA data server:
In ALERT tree, do a right clic on "Tags" and select "Add a data server":
Into the "Type" drop down list select "Siemens WinCC OA":
Clic on "Source" button:
In new window, you must fill the "Address" field with the IP address (X.X.X.X) of WinCC OA host:
When you will click on "OK", a test of connection will be done.
In case of failure a warning message will be displayed:
Despite the communication failure, you will be able to save this configuration by clicking "Yes" or to return to a blank configuration by clicking "No":
If the connection succeeded, the "Add a data server" window will be displayed again:
Clic on "OK" button to add the new data server into ALERT data server list.
Tags Configuration:
In order to access the tags of the WinCC OA project in ALERT, right-click on the newly created "Siemens WinCC OA" data server and select "Properties":
In the "Data Server" window displayed, click on the "Properties" button:
Select the "Default (Disabled)" line:
Click on the "Update" button:
The "Dynamic importation setup" window appears and allows you to configure the management of alarms such as:
- the organization of alarms
- the actions to be performed when an alarm is received, a return to normal or an acknowledgement
- the composition of the alarm message
- etc...
The rest of this article only details the creation of alarms, the complete configuration of this window is detailed in the "Filter" section of the FAQ (in progress).
Check the option "Filter enabled, if" at the top left of the window to activate the dynamic creation of alarms. The alarms will then be created automatically in ALERT following their triggering on the
WinCC OA server:
Click on "OK" button:
The "Default" filter is now activated, click on "OK" button:
Click on "OK" button:
The alarms are now created in the ALERT interface:
Troubleshooting:
During the "Adding WinCC OA data server" step, if you have this kind of message:
Check if port TCP 9000 is open between ALERT host and WinCC OA host.
